2018 has been a year of firsts, enjoy our Best of 2018 Live Bee Removals pictorial.
Let's start with some of the firsts in 2018, one of which is we started our online store called Nunya Beeswax. Yep, it is a slow start, but with all things, it takes a bit of time to get ranked.
We have a great mfg for our bee suits, I have yet to come up with a name for these suits. I will, it is like everything else time. We also filed to Trademark IRescueBees, it is in review at the moment, I will let everybody know when we get it.
I really like this pic, how about ya'll?
One of the last removal of 2018, removed from the old Longworth Gin in Longworth Tx. We had to climb up the ladder attached to the back side of this machine.
Noah and I carried all our equipment up, boxes and all. I wanted to hive this one on the spot cuz it was just too cold to take the bees out of their cluster.
Another first, we removed this along with another colony from crates at the AEP facility in Abilene Tx. Well, it was not the first colony removed from a crate, but the first live removal for AEP.
This year we also did a few removals for the city of Abilene, the Albany and Guthrie courthouse's.
To bee honest, I really don't like those lifts, I know they are safe, but dang they sway a lot. The Albany courthouse had seven colonies that we removed live and know have in our bee yard.
And finally, 2018 also marked our first Honey Bee Rescue for TxDot. We are TxDot's only Honey Bee rescue vendor for the Western region.
There is more to come, we are looking forward to the 2019 bee season. It is our continuing mission to save our wild honey and bumble bees.
